Description
Ethias brought me in to film the final of the Ethias Province Open Liège and turn it into an aftermovie, capturing both the match itself and the VIP hospitality around it.
Tennis is a demanding sport to film. The action is fast and constant, with no natural pauses to reset a shot, and everything happens across a court that leaves little room to move without breaking the angle. Add to that a day pushing close to 40 degrees, and it became as much about managing gear and staying sharp in the heat as it was about the filming itself.
Alongside the match, the brief included the VIP side of the event, the hospitality, the guests, the atmosphere off the court that matters just as much to a sponsor as the tennis does. Balancing both meant constantly shifting focus: locked into the rhythm of the game one moment, capturing a completely different kind of moment the next.
The result is an aftermovie that brings both sides together: the intensity of a final on court, and the experience Ethias built around it.
