Description
When OH Leuven Women reached out to cover their fixture against Arsenal WFC in the UEFA Women's Champions League, it was an easy yes. A European night in Leuven, with one of the biggest names in women's football as the opponent, was the kind of match that doesn't come around often.
The brief was to stay close to the game itself: the intensity on the pitch, the physicality of a top-level European matchup, and the small moments in between that tell the story of the match as much as the final result does.
Shooting at this level comes with its own demands. The pace is faster, the stakes are higher, and there's no second chance at a moment that's already gone. It takes reading the game and staying present enough to catch what happens when you're not looking for it.
Women's football is having its moment, and nights like this, a Belgian side facing one of the biggest clubs in the world, are exactly why it matters to be there with a camera.
